Charles Wright Reads the News and Makes a Prediction

  • NYPD detectives miraculously "discover" a mystery witness in the Sean Bell shooting. This coincidentally occurs during the grand jury's did-the-cops-break-the-law deliberation.
  • Valerie Plame testified in an investigation regarding the "leak" of the classified identity of a CIA operative. Did the Bush administration mishandle this highly sensitive information? Hmmmmm.
  • Would the White House fire eight prosecutors, simply because they were not aligned with the Bush administration?
  • Was Lt. Gen. Kevin C. Kiley, the Army surgeon general, ousted, merely to serve as the scapegoat in the Walter Reed fiasco? Or is this just the tip of the iceberg?
Charles Wright had this to say: ONE LIE LEADS TO ANOTHER.

Wow, those are quite a series of articles...

But at least the witness in the Sean Bell case came forward for the right reasons:
"[The witness] stepped forward Wednesday after his wife talked to one of her friends, who is married to a detective assigned to the 115th Precinct in Queens."

And I loved the testimony of the Major General who was "removed from his post":

``Mistakes were made and I was in charge,'' Weightman testified today.

`Need of Repair'

``Twenty-six rooms in Building 18 were in need of repair,'' Weightman said. ``We should not have allowed that to happen.''

``Also we did not fully recognize the frustrating and bureaucratic processes that these soldiers go through,'' Weightman said. ``We obviously missed the big picture.''

All I can say is that someone's a good script writer.

Oh well, at least they're being written about... it's a start at least.
